I'm cold, can you tell?

Seriously. Aside from saying that it is -7 with windchill outside right now I won't mention the weather anymore. Oh, and the fact that I'm under a weather advisory that reads in part "THE WIND CHILL WILL NOT BE A FACTOR TONIGHT... BUT RATHER THE BITTER COLD. " (caps are theirs, not mine) And yes, I realize it could be worse. It could be -58 like it is in the midwest. And yes, I know it was worse here last year. Heck, it was -6 in DC last winter. However, I think I have some sort of thermoregulation problem. I just don't thermoregulate. I see people walking around who are not bundled up to their eyeballs and I wish I wasn't such a weeny. But the truth is, I just am. A big can't-take-the-New-England-weather-and-it's-only-January weeny.

So what have I been up to besides complaining to anyone who will listen that I am cold? Well, recently absolutely nothing. This weekend I watched a lot of TV and stayed in my pajamas all day Saturday. Last week is another story. I had all of my final papers due on Friday. So I spent Tuesday-Friday writing about 40 pages of papers. The assignments ranged from 40-50% of my grade. No pressure or anything, but each grade counts for about 1/7 of my total GPA at Harvard. (8 class= EdM degree, but I had to take one class P/F.) So it was an interesting and mentally draining week (don't you guys miss papers and homework?)

Now I'm working 3 days this week for a grand total of 15 hours (talk about a shortened week, eh guys?). We're finally writing a piece I've been researching for all semester. It's nice to finally be producing something, but I don't particularly care for collaborative research. It's hard to write different pieces to fit in with things other people are writing several states away. I also feel like sometimes they tell me they want it done one way and then after I've researched and written it all up they're like, "No, actually I think our audience...blah blah..do it over the way you wanted to do it in the first place." At any rate, it will be exciting to be published as a member of the research team and it'll be online, so I'll let you know when that's up so you can kill time at work reading it. Not that I do that at work. Or open facebook. Or check out amazon.com. Not me.

I'm heading to New York to visit Caitlin this weekend, then to NYC to see Eric and go to some career day stuff set up by the ed school. I don't have any desire to move to NYC, but it's an excuse to go to NYC and I can go to the Seasme Workshop. :-D

Oh, and you might expect me to weigh in on the Steelers-Patriots debate. But if you are you will be disappointed. I really couldn't care less about football or really the Patriots. I mean, it'll be nice if the Pats go to and win the Superbowl because it'll make people happy and celebratory here, but whatever.
