HP in da house! Goblet o' fi-yah action!

I just got back from seeing Harry Potter! My Sarasota posse and I went to the midnight showing, where we encountered long lines of similarly obsessed muggles. No kids--it's a school night--but lots of people in their late teens and early 20s. I was disappointed by the scarcity of costumes in the crowd. I only saw one girl outside of our crew who was dressed up, and she was wearing some sort of slutty version of a Hogwarts school uniform. Lame.
I wore the scarf that I knit for my brother in FSU colors (coincidentally Gryffindor colors!), and the Harry Potter glasses that I acquired at the last Barnes and Noble book party.
My roommate Erika was an eskimo, and Mary wore a silly polka-dot dress with matching shoes. Erika's friend Julia wore a dragon costume, complete with tail, scales, and horns. And we convinced our friend A.J. to wear a pimptastic zebra-striped jacket.
And I loved the movie! I won't say any more about it, because I don't want to give anything away.
If you have any fun movie screening experiences, I want to hear about them! Then we can im each other and dissect the movie into ity-bity pieces without spoiling it for anyone else. :-)
And if you go, you should definitely dress up! It's really fun, and you get better service from the concessions person. I will post pictures of my costume as soon as I can figure out how to get them off my phone...
